Call For Content

We would currently welcome submissions for Issue 2 of The Futurian. The edition is timed to coincide with the meeting of the G7 in Cornwall. We are planning to cover those matters that the G7 are unlikely resolve in their meeting, but which are rising up the policy agenda, both in the UK and across the world. Our main theme will be the Post-COVID world - both the paths likely to be taken and those paths unlikely to be travelled. It's a case of looking at what to expect, as well as what has been missed. We shall be writing to a framework of articles that examine the political, economic, social, and environmental dimensions. For each of those dimensions, we hope to include a future vision that encompasses a continuation, a new equilibrium, a collapse, and a transformative scenario.

We have posted a short editorial briefing video to our Vimeo channel to outline the content for Issue #2 in more detail. You can access the video by clicking here.

The briefing refers to a set of notes in a PDF file. These can be accessed by clicking here.

Preference will be given to articles addressing the topics outlined in the briefing, but not exclusively so. If you have an idea for a subject not covered on the list, please feel free to contact us to discuss its suitability. We are also willing to accept unsolicited articles.

The deadlines for Issue 2 are:
Receipt of first draft article: 17:00 hrs GMT, Friday May 21st.
Editorial review and comments: 17:00 hrs GMT, Friday June 4th.
Final article for publication: 17:00 hrs GMT, Friday June 18th.
Publication: 17:00 hrs GMT, Friday June 25th.

If you would like to submit an article, please refer to the notes for writers (which can be accessed here) and follow the directions contained there.
