Biography:
Kevin initially graduated with a BComm but, finding his studies unsatisfactory, he went back into school to complete a Major in Anthropology and eventually, his MA Anthropology.
After graduating from the program, Kevin did some informational interviews with graduates from the Anthropology program, to see what anthropologists did outside of academia. One was the Head of Futures at a design firm in Toronto, who told Kevin that the best futurists "read a lot, have an interesting background, and are sort of weird." (Not a direct quotation.) Kevin felt like he fit the description, so he started learning about foresight, read a lot of books, and has done an internship at the Copenhagen Institute of Future Studies for a couple of months, where he did horizon scanning and wrote a couple of articles for their in-house The Scenario magazine. Currently, Kevin is an RA with the Diversity Institute, a think tank based in Toronto.
