Biography
Robin Jourdan has been an information professional and research scientist for 30+ years. Nearly 25 of those years have been with Ford Motor Co., focusing on online research, Six Sigma (Blackbelt), curriculum design, proof of concept development and futures analysis. Robin is a Six Sigma Blackbelt practitioner. She has taught Knowledge Management topics as part of the Columbia University Masters in Knowledge Management program.
Robin earned a Professional Certificate in Strategic Foresight from the University of Houston most recently. She has a Master’s in Library & Information Science from Wayne State University; including experience with early virtual libraries and reference desk services: “Ask Henry”. Robin has a Master’s in Science from the University of North Dakota, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan.
She enjoys exploring the undiscovered territory. Her strengths include being able to frame problems and look at the problem from new perspectives; and a natural teaching mindset and willingness to collaborate with others. Tending toward practicality, this set up a high hurdle when first involved in strategic foresight. Creating a view of the futures is most worthwhile if we can do something with it, today.
