BIOGRAPHY
Fazidah’s interest in Futures Studies started in 2012 when she was given the task to coordinate the preparation of her university’s Strategic Plan. It was during the period of study that she found the significance of futures studies in ensuring a sustainable strategic plan. Mentored by a renowned futurist, her interest in strategic foresight extended further. Her active works in futures studies involved facilitating courses, producing journal articles and presenting papers at national and international conferences and seminars in which she incorporated and presented futures thinking and foresight approaches in her analysis of the Malaysian higher education institutions’ scenario.
Fazidah has been teaching English as a Second Language since 1990 and she currently teaches the undergraduate students at Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM). She also leads the Chancellery Management and Relations Office where she oversees matters related to among others, university marketing, media planning, image branding and event management.
Fazidah has always wanted to further her studies in Strategic Foresight and is still in the process of identifying a suitable university as there has not been such opportunity in her home country, Malaysia.
Fazidah lives in Melaka, Malaysia.
