Chris Mayer helps deliver and continually improve a leader development experience that develops West Point graduates into leaders of character and U.S. Army officers who are prepared to anticipate and respond appropriately to opportunities and challenges in a rapidly changing world. A career Army officer, Chris serves as associate dean of strategy and initiatives at the United States Military Academy (West Point). He also teaches philosophy in the areas of ethics and political philosophy. In his work as associate dean, Chris employs foresight to enhance decision making and strategy development.
He is especially focused on exploring the futures of higher education, work, and leadership, and how they are interrelated.
As a reviewer for the Quality Assurance Commons, Chris works with colleges and universities to strengthen their connection to the future of work so that students are employable and positioned to thrive in the future.
