Introduction. Do you like Dr. Who? Have you ever thought how a Dalek works? Do you ever wonder where technology is leading us? Have you ever wondered what careers might be open to you in 10 years time?
If you have answered yes to any of these questions then you might like to come along to the Northgate Futurist Club. The club is devoted to the study of the future and how it may affect us today, to find out more about the club come along to our weekly meeting during term time.
If you would like more information about the club please feel free to ask me about it at school. My name is Charlotte Aguilar-Millan.
Why study the future? The future doesn’t just happen. We can choose to shape it by what we do or say today. So this is why there is a Futurist Club, to help you understand and do the right thing.
What does the futurist club do? We study the future! From tomorrow to 10 years in time. We study a variety of subjects from ‘The Futurist’ magazine, such as ‘Basketball for the blind’ to ‘Being 13 Years Old’. We read the articles and discuss how we can learn from them.
